ClearCorrect clear aligners are used as an alternative to traditional metal braces. ClearCorrect straightens the teeth with a set of custom-made clear aligners that can be easily removed while brushing, flossing and eating. The aligners gradually move the teeth and eventually set them into their correct position to give you a straighter, more appealing and healthier smile.
ClearCorrect currently is available to treat adults and teenagers. Children who might not have all their molars and senior citizens with more complicated dental cases may also be candidates for ClearCorrect.
ClearCorrect can be used to treat the following orthodontic conditions:
- Crowded teeth
- Improperly spaced teeth
- Under bites
- Crooked or turned (rotated) teeth
ClearCorrect treatment involves four phases. Each phase involves the use of a new set of aligners that are kept on for a duration of three weeks. The time between each phase allows for flexibility and control. ClearCorrect aligners need to be worn all the time, except while flossing, brushing, eating and drinking. They are barely noticeable as they are transparent and do not impact your social life by taking away from your appearance. The results after wearing each aligner in the set will be visible as your teeth gradually shift position. We will schedule periodic check-ups and follow-up visits to keep track of the progress of the treatment and to give you the next set of aligners. This sequence will continue until the alignment of your teeth has been corrected.
Depending upon the degree of misalignment and your specific condition, treatment time may vary from one to two years. There are three treatment options available:
- Unlimited: Patients are provided with as many aligners needed to complete the case.
- Limited 6: Patients are provided with 6 sets of aligners.
- Limited 12: Patients are provided with 12 sets of aligners.
